Dear Students,
It is with the health and wellbeing of our staff and students uppermost in our hearts and minds and on the basis of the most recent Government announcements, that we have prayerfully made the decision to transfer all face to face classes to online delivery until further notice, starting this Wednesday (25/03/2020). The campus remains open for now, with the Library, Student Support Services and many Lecturers still available on campus.
We have had significantly smaller numbers of students attending classes over the last week or so and several lecturers who need to work from home for now.
Our priority is to ensure the continuity of learning and teaching for all our students. Thus, starting with the classes scheduled for Wednesday (25/03/2020), all classes will be delivered online. There may be some small differences in the ways various CHC Schools approach this situation. Deans and Course Coordinators will let you know if this is the case. Lecturers will communicate with you about when they will be presenting lectures online – although these should run at the same time they are currently scheduled on the timetable. We encourage students who are enrolled in units in external/online mode to join in with these classes wherever possible.
Please stay connected with your Lecturers and Course Coordinators.
We are aware that a number of students have lost their jobs or have had their work hours reduced. Please let us know if you are experiencing any difficulty. We are looking at ways we might be able to provide some support for any students who find themselves in need.
